Open Water Swimming in Crystal Lake, NH

Brian Johnston finishing up a half-mile swim in Crystal Lake, a pristine New Hampshire Lake in Eaton, NH. Brian, his wife Anna and two month old daughter Myra enjoy swims a few days a week, often with Loons paddling around somewhere on the lake. No, Myra's not swimming quite yet, but I'm sure she won't be far behind Mom and Dad.

Farms of the Saco River

Sherman Farm is a local farm just up the road in Conway, New Hampshire. Since 1964 they've been producing milk and growing food for the local area. On September 6th Sherman farm and Weston's Farm, another family farm across the Saco River from Sherman's, will be putting on a gourmet dinner featuring the locally grown crops from the farms. The Shermans grow everything from cut flowers in the spring to pumpkins in the fall. You can even head down there and get milk the old fashion way, bottled. Here what the farm looks like in full swing, mid-summer.

Saco Lake - Crawford Notch

The headwaters of the Saco River, at least one of them. This little pond is located at the high point of Crawford Notch, right along Route 302.
