Traveling around NH in the winter

It's always interesting to travel through the NH summer vacation hot spots during the winter months. No traffic, lots of closed up shops. Plenty of peace and quite, which is probably why most people started coming up the the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire.

Deep into winter on Mt. Washington

Yeah, it night be still in the 50's at your house, maybe even grass showing on the front lawn. Here in North Conway my driveway has got 3 inches of snow and ice on it. Last week a quick afternoon trip to Tuckerman Ravine brings winter back in to focus. It's here until sometime in late June, or July.
